This is one of my signed original Inktober drawings ready to be framed and displayed!
In 2016, I decided to participate in Inktober, where participants do one ink drawing per day throughout the month of October. That was a fun challenge to draw every day. It gave me a chance to try out new techniques. I did all of my drawings on 4 in x 6 in index cards. I mostly used photographs for reference. Sometimes I prepainted the card so I wasn’t staring at a blank white canvas (talk about intimidating!)
As far as framing and displaying go, your options are virtually endless. Here are some of my favorites:
– Use a ready-made frame/mat from any big box retailer as an inexpensive alternative to custom framing.
– Purchase a custom mat to use with a larger frame. Small art with wide mats in big frames will give your new artwork a classy gallery feel.
– Don’t be afraid to crop or trim the print if you’d like to use a smaller frame/mat! It’s your print, make it work for you!
Please note: It is not UV protected, so keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and discoloration.
